Tammy Allred earned a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education-severe/profound and early childhood and a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders-Vision Impairments-Birth to 3 from Utah State University. She worked 2 years as a developmental preschool teacher in Logan and then 12 years for the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind as a birth-3 vision specialist.  Tammy currently works as Co-Program Coordinator for the South East Early Intervention Program serving children birth to 3 and their families in the Emery, Carbon, and Grand county catchment area.  In addition to administrative duties, Tammy is an Early Intervention Developmental Specialist, BDI-2 NU assessor, and Service Coordinator for the program.  She also leads the Book Club class where the focus is to help children learn language through literacy using dialogic reading strategies.  She is helping train staff in the Parents Interacting with Infants (PIWI) model and will then assist in the implementation of PIWI model in group activities in Carbon, Emery and Grand counties.
