Liz Donovan (MA, NIC, Ed:K-12) has worked as a nationally certified interpreter for almost a decade in a variety of settings including community, K-12, and VRS. She currently works at Sorenson Communications in the Interpreter Education and Professional Development department, which has allowed her the great opportunity to be involved with mentoring, training and webinar development, assessments, and program coordination. Additionally, Liz works with Utah State University doing similar work including mentoring interpreters and facilitating trainings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern California and completed her IEP at the College of Southern Nevada. In 2019, she graduated from St. Catherine University’s MAISCE, Master of Arts in Interpreting Studies and Communication Equity, program where she conducted researched about the experiences of LGBTQ interpreters working in the VRS setting.
