Each week the CPD will feature a new media item out of its library of media. Included in this planned rotation are items that describe the CPD or showcase some of its programs, those that provide commentary or information on issues in the disability field, as well as those that speak the impact of the CPD. Please visit often, or scroll the library to identify those items you wish to view.
To begin "play" you can either use the play controls at the bottom of the media box or select "shift + I" to get information on all the controls available to you.
Utah's Integrated Services Project (UISP)
Respecting the Young Adult Patient
A group of young adults discuss how physicians can encourage the independence of their patients who have disabilities by helping them take over the responsibility of their own health care.
StoryCorps is in partnership with National Public Radio and the Library of Congress.
During the Fall of 2007, the nationally acclaimed StoryCorps came to Logan Utah to gather stories from its residents. The purpose of the StoryCorps is "to create an oral history of regular citizens, allowing everyday Americans to preserve personal stories for future generations across the nation". Three groups of local residents, with ties to the CPD responded to the call and provided a permanent record that includes disability as part of our collective experience. Enjoy, as you listen to their compelling stories.
