“With stroke, we have a very short time window when we’re able to treat people,” said Dr. Marilyn McKasson , telestroke medical director for Intermountain Healthcare. She talks to patients in the emergency rooms of small Utah towns, helping to diagnose a stroke and beginning treatment before the patient is transferred to a larger hospital that is equipped to help dissolve the clot, restore blood flow and give them the best chance for recovery. Read Story...
