CPD History

The Center for Persons with Disabilities has a rich history that spans more than 35 years. This section of our website celebrates the history, and the people, of the Center.

Probably the best way to review the Center's history is to watch the video that highlights our past. Of course we also have a brief timeline that shows many milestones and historic notes that show our progress. If you were part of the Exceptional Child Center (ECC), the Developmental Center for Handicapped Persons (DCHP), or the Center for Persons with Disabilities (CPD) you will enjoy looking at pictures that have been taken over the years. Finally, we have material from the CPD 35th celebration to share. Several hundred past and current staff, families, and individuals we served, attended the event in June of 2007.
